Most people filing chapter 7 have uncomplicated cases and are paying between $1,200 to $1,500 for the attorney fee alone! That is crazy! I charge $995 for my fee (plus court cost) and that is more than enough to make a good fee on my cases.

Chapter 7 Attorney Fees

I strive to keep my pricing straightforward and affordable. Most Chapter 7 cases are simple, and the attorney fee for these is $995. If you’re on Social Security, you may receive a reduced fee—usually around $900, depending on your assets. The court filing fee for Chapter 7 cases is currently $338.
